World Design Organization (WDO)® is an international non-governmental organization and the international voice for industrial design. WDO advocates for Design for a Better World, promoting and sharing knowledge of industrial design-driven innovation that enhances the economic, social, cultural, and environmental quality of life. Today, WDO services over 200 member organizations, representing thousands of industrial designers around the world. 

Since the organization’s founding in 1957, WDO Members have met biennially to attend the World Design Congress and General Assembly. Following the World Design Congress in London on 9-10 September 2025, all WDO Members are invited to attend the General Assembly on 11 September 2025 where they will be empowered with the authority to set the operational direction of the organization, elect its leadership, and address a number of key issues affecting the industry.

Tickets will go on sale for the in-person event early 2025. Sign up to the World Design Congress 2025 newsletter for priority access to tickets. World Design Organization members enjoy complimentary tickets for the event. 

Anyone can purchase an in-person ticket for the World Design Congress 2025. There will be ticketing levels for freelancers, small businesses and students available.

The event will be live streamed for a global online audience. Tickets for the online event will go on sale later in 2025.

We are aiming to host world-class speakers from across the worlds of design, business and sustainability. The programme will be announced early 2025.

WDO supports a growing network of over 200 member organizations and is the only international non-governmental organization connecting corporate, educational, professional, promotional and municipal design institutions. Please note that they do not currently offer membership to individuals.
